Part I Writing (30 minutes)

Directions ： For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay based on the picture below.

But soon Smith is 33 the news even before it happens—and ifs all terrible—one disaster after another. Anyway, there is a little more to tell, but I don’t want to 34 the story for you. I really like these old episodes of “The Twilight Zone” because the stories are fascinating. They are not realistic. But then again, in a way they are, because they deal with 35 .

Part III Reading Comprehension (40 minutes)

Section A

Directions: In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the bank is identified by a letter.
