XX地处浙江中部、金衢盆地东缘，市域面积1105平方公里，下辖6镇8街道，中心XX区建成区面积103平方公里，本地户籍人口80万，登记在册外来建设者143.7万。XX历史悠久，建县于公元前222年，古称乌伤，因孝子颜乌而得名，1988年撤县建市。XX名人辈出，历史上孕育了“初唐四杰”之一骆宾王、宋代名将宗泽、金元四大名医之一朱某某、南朝梁代禅宗著名尊宿傅某某，以及现代教育家陈某某、文艺理论家冯某某、历史学家吴某某等一批名人志士。改革开放以来，XX坚持和深化“兴商建市”发展战略，以培育、发展、***，大力推进工业化、国际化和城乡一体化，走出了一条富有自身特色的区域发展道路，成为改革开放全国18个典型地区之一。2011年3月，经国务院批准开展国际贸易综合改革试点。
Yiwu is located on the eastern edge of Jinhua-Quzhou basin in the central region of Zhejiang Province. Consisting of 6 towns and 8 sub-districts under its jurisdiction, it covers 1,105 square kilometers including 103 square kilometers of urban area. The city has a total of 800,000 locals and 1.437million registered non-locals. Yiwu boasts a long history, first established as a county in 222 BC with the name of Wushang from the famous Yan Wu, who was renowned for his filial piety. In 1988, Yiwu County was upgraded to Yiwu City. Yiwu has nurtured many well-known people, such as Luo Binwang, one of the Four Great Poets of Early Tang Dynasty, Zong Ze, the famous general in Song Dynasty, Zhu Danxi, one of the four most famous physicians in Jin and Yuan dynasty, Fu Dashi, a famous Zen of virtue in Liang Dynasty of the Southern Dynasties, and modern educator Chen Wangdao, literary theorist Feng Xuefeng, historian Wu Han and others. Since reform and opening up, Yiwu has kept on its strategy of “developing the city by prospering commerce”. It focuses on fostering, developing and promoting its market while?pressing ahead with industrialization, international progress and urban-rural integration, thus blazing a regional development path with its own characteristics. Today, the city is among the country’s 18 model regions for reform and opening-up. In March 2011, it became the pilot city for comprehensive international trade reform with the approval of the State Council, which is the only county-level city to have been awarded the opportunity of carrying out a pilot international trade comprehensive reform.
XX的发展一直得到各级领导的关怀和重视。中共中央总书记、国家主席习近平在浙江、XX工作期间，先后12次到XX检查指导工作。指出XX的发展是“莫名其妙”、“无中生有”、“点石成金”，要求省委总结XX发展经验，在全省学习推广。习近平同志到中央工作后，多次在国际外交场合介绍XX，2015年12月，习近平总书记在出席中非领导人活动时把XX定位世界“小商品之都”。2014年11月，中共中央政治局常委、国务院总理李克强到XX视察并发表了重要讲话，称***国名片，XX商贸城堪称当代“XX上河图”。
Yiwu’s development has been receiving the care and attention from leadership at all levels. Chinese President Xi Jinping has visited Yiwu 12 times for inspection and guidance while working in Zhejiang and Shanghai. He highly praised Yiwu’s development as “hard to express its miraculous development”, “making something out of nothing” and “turning stone into gold”. He therefore required CPC Zhejiang Committee to summarize the experience of Yiwu’s development, and to spread such experience to the whole province. After promoted to work in the central government, he has made references to Yiwu on many diplomatic occasions. In December 2015, President Xi Jinping recommended Yiwu as the World’s “Capital of Small Commodities” while meeting with African leaders. In November 2014, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, who visited Yiwu and delivered an important speech, praised Yiwu Small Commodity Market as a Chinese business card, and the bustling marketplace reminded him of the prosperity and business vitality conveyed by the famous painting “Riverside Scene in Qingming”.
近年来，XX以国际贸易综合改革试点为引领，强改革、调结构、优环境、惠民生、保稳定，实现经济稳中向好，社会和谐稳定。2018年，全市实现地区生产总值1248亿元，同比增长7%；实现财政总收入153.5亿元，其中地方财政收入95.2亿元，分别增长8%和12%；城镇和农村居民人均收入分别达到71207元和36398元，同比增长7.8 %和9%。
In recent years, placing its priority on international trade comprehensive reform, Yiwu has made great efforts to strengthen reform, adjust industrial structure, optimize business environment, improve welfare for the people, and preserve security and stability. It has carried out a series of transformation and upgrading measures, and achieved steady growth of economy and stability and harmony of its social development. In 2018, the city's GDP reached 124.8 billion yuan, up 7% year on year; government’s revenue reached 15.35 billion yuan, of which local revenue reached 9.52 billion yuan, up 8% and 12% year on year respectively; The per capita income of urban and rural residents reached 71,207 yuan and 36,398 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.8% and 9%.
XX是一座商机无限的商贸城市。XX市场经营面积640余万平方米，经营商位7.5万个，汇集26个大类、180多万种商品，编制发布全国首个“市场信用指数”和《小商品分类与代码》行业标准，被联合国、世界银行等权威机构誉为全球最大的小商品批发市场。在促进主体市场持续繁荣的同时，线上线下融合、进口出口互动全面推进。XX电子商务展现蓬勃发展之势，有电商卖家账户超过27万某某，内外贸网商密度分列全国第一、第二，快递业务量位居全国各大中城市第四，约占全国1/20，作为全国唯一县级市获国务院批准建设国家级跨境电商综试区。打造“XX中国进口商品城”等日用消费品进口展销平台，累计引进100多个国家和地区的10万种境外商品。
Yiwu is a city with unlimited business opportunities. In Yiwu, the market business area is over 6.4 million square meters, with over 75,000 booths and shops, selling over 1.8 million types of goods in 26 categories. The city has compiled and released China’s first “market credit index” and Commodity Classification and Codification, which has turned out to be an industrial standard. Yiwu Small Commodity Market has been awarded the title of world's largest small commodity wholesale market by such important authoritative international organizations as the United Nations, the World Bank etc. While ensuring the sustainable prosperity of its physical market, the booming of E-commerce in Yiwu has made a bigger market online, with over 270,000 e-commerce accounts. The density of e-commerce accounts specializing in domestic trade tops the list, and the density of e-commerce accounts specializing in international trade ranks the second. Express delivery volume ranks the 4th nationwide, which accounts for 1/20 share of the country. Yiwu is the only county-level city in China to have been approved by the State Council to build a national-level cross-border e-commerce comprehensive reform pilot zone. China’s largest Imported Commodities Mall has been established here. Over100,000 types of imported commodities from more than 100 countries and regions are displayed and sold here.
XX是一座融入全球的开放城市。每年到XX采购的境外客商超过50万人次，有100多个国家和地区的1.3万多名境外客商常驻XX。商品出口到世界210多个国家和地区，市场外向度达65%以上。吸引了沃尔玛、麦德龙等20多家跨国零售集团和30多家国内知名连锁超市常驻采购，全市现有各类外资主体7200多家，其中外商投资合伙企业2300多家，约占全国的70%。开通运行全球最长的“义新欧”国际班列，积极建设“义甬舟”开放XX道，***和交换站、全省唯一铁路临时开放口岸、全省第四个空XX岸、全省第四个保税物流中心等开放功能平台。“义新欧”被习总书记称为亚欧大陆互联互通的重要桥梁和“一带一路”建设的早期成果。涉外管理服务体系日益完善，建有国际贸易服务中心，为外商提供“一站式”服务。
Yiwu is an open city integrating itself into the world. Every year there are nearly 500,000 foreign merchants visiting Yiwu for procurement, and there are more than 13,000 foreign businessmen from over 100 countries and regions living here in Yiwu year round. The goods from Yiwu are exported to more than 210 countries and regions in the world, which makes over 65% of the market business foreign-oriented. Yiwu has attracted more than 20 multinational retail groups, such as Wal-Mart and Metro, and more than 30 domestic well-known chain stores and supermarkets to set up their representative agencies here for procurement. There are over 7,200 foreign-related business entities in Yiwu, over 2,300 of which are foreign-invested partnerships, accounting for about 70% of such countrywide. The “Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe”(YXE) railway cargo service, an international cargo train which has longer route than any other one, has been put into operation. We have started the construction of “Yiwu-Ningbo-Zhoushan” logistics passageway to facilitate the international trade transportation of our city. We have also installed the first international mail exchange office and exchange station, the first of its kind being built in a county-level city. Yiwu has several open function platforms, including the only railway open port , the 4th airport open port, and the 4th bonded logistics center in the province. The (YXE) railway cargo service has been praised by President Xi as an import bridge for connectivity of the?Eurasian continent and an early achievement of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI). Yiwu enjoys good and sound management and service system for foreign-related entities and activities.
