　　As far as I am concerned, every coin has two sides. On the one hand, students may learn the course better, because they may choose the professor they liked. On the other hand, if the professor who is very popular and a great number of students would like to attend his/her course, the classroom must be overcrowded. It will have a bad impact on the class.

　　Social practice is a bridge between their theory and reality. So, in recent years, more and more college students choose to take part-time jobs in or outside school.

　　In the social practice, students are sure to learn more than their textbooks. Their participation in social practice might strengthen their sense of social responsibility. Their close contact with the working people might help them to apply their knowledge to the solution to the practical problem. But many teachers complain that there are fewer and fewer students who pay attention to their study.

　　In my view, it’s an undenied fact that students break the balance between their jobs and studies, especially when they fall into conflict. But I think students should spend their spare time taking part-time jobs. Timely participation in social practice will benefit them all through their life.

　　Do Libraries Become Useless at the Age of Information?

　　There has been a heated discussion about libraries at the age of information among people. Some people, especially the younger generation, challenge the value of conventional libraries. When they need any information in their studies or work, they can turn to their computers for help. For this reason, they do not need to go to a library for borrowing or returning one or two books.

　　While others, including most old people as well as scholars, value libraries. They love libraries because they can enjoy peace and quietness in an isolated spiritual world. And they also have access to rare academic works needed for their studies in the libraries.

　　In my view, conventional libraries are still available though there is still much room for improving. At the Age of Information, as long as knowledge is respected and cherished, libraries won’t extinct from our lives. On the other hand, libraries should not refuse the latest information technology, which will enable them to regain those young readers.

　　Rechoice of Professions—A Social Problem

　 Nowadays more and more persons are out of work. They are called laid off personnel. They are now confronted with the difficulty of rechoice of professions. People may doubt why there are so many persons becoming unemployed. Will they be able to be employed again? How will they adapt themselves to the changed social environment? Is it necessary for them to alter their views of obtaining employment? To solve all these problems, we should help them have a clear understanding of the present situation, change their views of rechoice of professions, build up a firm confidence in obtaining employment again.

　　China’s economy has grown rapidly in the past decades since the adoption of the policy of reforms and opening to the outside world. Investment from abroad has taken root in China's economy. High technology has been applied in various fields and great changes have taken place in China’s socialist economic structure. This is a law of economic development. It is admitted that the development of economy will eventually bring about a high rate of unemployment — a serious social problem.

　　The problem is not why they are out of jobs, but how to help them overcome difficulties and find jobs again as soon as possible. First, the government should create more opportunities for them to be employed. Second, they should change their views of choice of work. The idea that only working in governmental offices or in big factories can be regarded as a success of being employed must be changed. Third, to be willing to do hard work, dirty work and even the work that others　are reluctant to do. In a word, all of us are obliged to express our concern, love and support for them and help them get over their difficulties to win success.

　　A certain amount of advertising is of an informative kind, the aim simply being to let consumers know what goods and services are available—“consumer education” as it is sometimes called. Most advertising, however, is of a persuasive or competitive kind, the aim of which is to persuade people to buy one thing rather than something else.

　　Advertising is a selling cost particularly associated with imperfect competition. Advertising is a way of marketing goods. In the sale of branded goods, advertising is essential in order to try to impress on consumers that one maker's brand is superior to all others, although in fact the only difference between brands may sometimes be in their trade marks and labels.

Any producer with some degree of monopoly, however slight, will generally find it more advantageous to advertise his products widely and at considerable expense rather than cut his prices.
