Step 1 : Warming-up

Greetings. Then have a little game to review the words by showing some pictures. Divide students into three groups.

Have a question: Which one do you like best?

Step 2: Presentation

Present new words and use pictures to guide students to

know the meanings of “breakfast, lunch, dinner”.

Explain the sentence patterns, for example:

What do you usually have for breakfast/lunch/dinner?

I usually have ... for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Then invite some students to practice sentence patterns.

Look at picture in 1a and guide them to predict it.

Listen to 1a and do 1b. Match the pictures with each

meal and then check the answer.

Work in pairs, practice the conversation.

Step 3: Consolidation

Read 1a again and fill in the blanks. Then check. After that, invite someone to make a report.

Step4: Practice

Look at picture in 3a and guess the content.

Do 3a, complete the conversation and practice it.

Do 3b, complete the conversation with correct sentences and act it out.

Step 5: production

Work in groups. Do a survey.

Discussion: Can we skip breakfast?

Step 6: Summary

Step 7: Homework

At the beginning of the class, plays a game about reciting words and phrases to review what students have learned last class.

The next part is to review the expression of time. Teacher explains the rule again clearly. And then lists some examples to let students master the knowledge

better. At the same time, students can review the sentence pattern “What’s the time,please? ”And “What time is it,please?” and the answer is “It’s ...”.

The third part is making conversations. Teacher gives students two examples and gives every situation a time

and a phrase. Students need to work with their partner.

And the next part is “use phrases to describe

Kangkang’s day. From this part, students can have a

better understanding about the phrases this class learns.

Then comes to the textbook.for the first time, students

Just listen and try to think about the question:What are

They talking about? The second time is to listen for the

details about Kangkang, Michael, Jane and Maria’s

favorite animals and why they like these animals.

Then, teacher leads students to read the text and

highlight the important points.

Next part is exercise. Teacher design many kinds of exercise, such as listening, making conversations, filing the blanks,choosing the best answer and writing a short paragraph.

The last part part is the summary and homework.

Make sentence by using some key sentence structure.

Play the tape of 1a again and let students finish 1b.

Let students make a dialogue in pairs.

Let students Read 1a together..

Step4: Practice

Let students finish 1c and make up new conversations with the following information in 1c. Make the students practice the expression about how to ask the workplaces.

Fill in the blanks with do/does.

Step 5: production

Work in groups. Do a survey.
