一、引言Introduction

The use of nursery rhymes in English language teaching has been recognized as an effective method to engage young learners and enhance their language skills. However, there are variations in the quantity, distribution, and writing characteristics of nursery rhyme sections in different primary school English textbooks. This study aims to compare and contrast the nursery rhyme sections in four sets of primary school English textbooks, examining their quantity, distribution, and writing characteristics. By identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the current nursery rhyme sections, this study also provides recommendations for improving their writing and suggests ways to utilize nursery rhymes more effectively in English language teaching.

Nursery rhymes play a vital role in primary school English textbooks as they introduce young learners to the rhythm, intonation, and vocabulary of the English language. However, the current state of nursery rhyme sections in English textbooks calls for a closer examination. This study seeks to address this issue by comparing and analyzing the nursery rhyme sections in four sets of primary school English textbooks.

In the following sections, the quantity and distribution of nursery rhyme sections in the four sets of textbooks will be explored. This analysis will include an examination of the placement and frequency of nursery rhymes in each textbook.
