教学过程:
Step 1 Warm-up and lead-in
1.Review new words.
Ask students to read the new words of this lesson according to phonetic symbols. Then divide the class into two groups to start a game to see “which group read more loudly and more correctly?"
设计意图:为了提高学生的竞争意识和发扬团体合作精神,能以最激昂的热情进入今天的上课状态。
2. Show students four pictures on the screen, Then ask them to say some sentences about superlative. For example:

Step 2 Pair work
Students in groups describe the length , depth, area, height and width of the four pictures.

2. any other +可数名词单数 = the other +可数名词复数 = anyone else
3. population 人口数量 谓语动词用单数

4. 修饰比较级的词 much 、even 、still 、far 、a lot 、a great deal 、a little 、a bit 、rather
修饰最高级的词:序数词、by far 、 nearly 、 almost 等
