Teaching Analysis

1. Teaching Aims

Continue to build up the ability in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, especially enable the students to make sentences in English about their projects for the school science fair.

Get students to know how to express their projects correctly.

Teaching Procedures

Step I Class Opening (1 minutes)

Warming-up

Play a guessing game.

设计思路:使用英语猜谜的方法,带学生自然进入英语氛围。

Step II New Concepts (22 minutes)

1. New words

Read and recite

Let students know about the aims

3. Talk about Some Questions

(1).What does Jenny hope?

(2)What did Jenny make for her project?

(3)What is Danny’s project about?

(4)What will Danny make for his project?

4. Read and translate and text.

T: Ask the students to read and translate the text.

5. Language points

T: After reading, let 's study some language points in this lesson

(1). I hope to win the first prize.我想获得一等奖

hope意为“希望,盼望,期望”,是不及物动词,后跟动词不定式。hope也可作名词,表示“希望,期望”。

They hope to go to Hainan for their holiday.

e. g: You will never lose hope

2). be interested in意为“对……感兴趣” interested表示“感兴趣的”,interesting表示“有趣的,引起兴趣的”
