1.学会运用there be 结构的一般疑问句形式及其回答。

2.学会运用表示社区各种设施的名词以及表示方位的介词短语。

教学重难点：

1.掌握并使用本单元与社区环境和设施相关的词汇、方位介词短语,并能正确运用这些词汇来描述各种社区设施的地理位置。

2.学习there be句型的一般疑问句及其回答。

教学过程：

Step 1 Warming-up and revision

Step 2 Word-teach

1.Direct Ss’ attention to the picture on the screen and ask Ss “What’s this?”, present the names of the places on the board.

2.Give plenty of opportunity for both choral and individual repetition of the new words.

Step 3 Ask and answer: talk about the positions

Have Ss look at the picture on the screen again and ask “Is/Are there ...?”,present Ss the answers “Yes, there is/are.” “No, there isn’t /aren’t.”.
