Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?

Section A (1a-2d)

一、教学目标

1. 听懂并掌握下列词汇及常用表达:

chore, do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes,

sweep the floor, make your bed, clean the living room, mess

2. 初步感知并学习礼貌地提出请求和委婉地征询许可的表达方式:

Could you please …?

Could I …?

3. 能听懂和谈论做家务的话题。

4. 能够礼貌地提出要求及征询许可,在家、在校要注意礼貌用语。

5. 体会父母的辛苦,帮助父母做力所能及的家务。

二、教学重点及难点

重点:核心词汇及常用表达。

难点:区分并正确表达礼貌地提出请求和委婉地征询许可。

三、教学准备

1. 教学课件、词汇图片。

2. 学生课前预习。

四、教学过程

Task 1

Step 1 Warming-up

Watch and learn

T: Hello, everyone. Today we’ll learn Unit 3 Could you please clean your room? At first, please watch a short video and think about a question.

What kind of chores are mentioned in the video?

设计意图:通过看动画思考问题,吸引学生的注意力,让学生初步感知本单元有关家务琐事的话题,引入本单元的学习。

Step 2 Pre-listening

Look and learn

1. T: What other chores do you know? Now you’ll see six pictures. They are all about chores. I just wonder if you do these chores at home. Can you do the dishes?

2. T: We have rubbish every day. Do you often help take out the rubbish at home? Rubbish is something we don’t want or need any longer.

3. T: I fold the clothes almost every day. How about you? Do you ever fold the clothes? When we fold something, we put one part of it to lie on top of another part.

4. T: When the floor is dirty, we need to sweep the floor. Do you often sweep the floor at home?

5. T: I know you can make your bed now. But do you make your bed every day? Very often? Less often?
