A Let’s talk & Let’s play

Teaching aims:

Ss are able to ask and answer like this: Is she/he in the …? ( living room/ study/ kitchen) Yes, she/he is. No, she/he isn’t.

Ss are able to use the sentences to ask and answer: Where’s …?

Is it in/ on/ under/ near …? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.

c. Ss are able to be aware of that people always treat their pets as their family members in western countries.

The important and difficult points:

Is she/he/it in/on/under/near… the …? Yes, she/he/it is. No, she/he/it isn’t.

Teaching aids:

CAI, PPT documents, word cards, sentence cards and some pictures for Ss.

Teaching process:

Step1. Warm-up

1. Sing a song named On In Under By.

2. Look at the first letter and say the corresponding things in the classroom.

e.g. p: pen, pencil, pencil box

b: book, bag, blackboard

3. A guessing game: T presents some parts of several pictures and guides Ss to guess by using the sentence ‘’Is it…?”

Step2. Presentation

1. The pictures consist a picture of a study eventually. Ss practice the word “study”.

2. T says that this is Amy’s study and ask Ss if Amy is in the study by using the sentence ”Is she in the study?” T guides Ss to answer as “No, she isn’t.” Ss practice the dialogue.

3. T and Ss go to find Amy. Amy is not in the study, bedroom and bathroom. T points at one room and ask: “Is she in this room? Which room is it?” This room is kitchen. Ss practice.
