Unit 3 How do you get to school---Section B 1a-1e

一、Teaching Purpose:

1. Knowledge and technology:

1) Be able to master the phrases:

Bus stop, train station, bus station, subway station, think of

2) To help students use the target language in a different context

Well, I ride my bike to the subway station.

Then I take the subway.

3) To give students practice in listening for specific items in conversation.

2. Emotion and value:

Help students to know about the differences of transportation between western countries and eastern countries. Show students the different transportation rules and teach then to follow the rules. It’s very important for students to pay attention to traffic rules and get along well with others.

二、Importance and difficulty

1. Teaching Importance:

1) To improve students’ ability to get the information by listening practice。

2) To help students use the target language in a different context.

2. Teaching Difficulty:

To practice speaking practice with the target language.

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision

1. Greet Ss as usual.

2. Check the homework.

Ⅱ. Presentation

1. I'll show you some pictures on the screen. Let's learn some new words.

2. Ss read and try to remember the new words and expressions.

3. Show students some more phrases: taxi stand, coach station, airport, ferry pier.

Ⅲ. Match

B: First, he takes the subway.

A: No, he doesn’t. He takes the train.

B: Oh yes, that’s right. He takes the train. Then, he takes the bus to his grandparents’ home.

3)Remind Ss that when we’ve been corrected, we often acknowledge the correction and repeat the information.
