故事以两个好朋友拉杜、法汉在寻找消失多年不见的好兄弟兰某某的过程中展开的回忆：一个富人家的花匠的儿子旺度，很聪明，有天赋，在众多考生中脱颖而出，考上了名校，这个富人就让他用自己儿子的名字“兰某某”去***读书，富人供他读书，条件是冒名顶替帮兰某某拿到毕业证书后，旺度就得消失。那个学校是印度的名校，检验学生的唯一标准就是成绩，成绩不好就意味着没有未来。而兰某某却不愿意随波逐流，他用他的善良、开朗、幽默和智慧影响着周围的人，用智慧打破的学校墨守成规的传统教育观念，劝说校长的二女儿佩雅离开拜金的未婚夫，鼓励舍友想成为工程师的法兰和想成为野生动物摄影师的拉杜去勇敢追寻理想，最后他也凭借智慧成为拥有四百项专利发明的科学家，他实现了梦想，也做回了真正的自己。经历过一番闹剧，在影片的最后，三位好朋友终于相聚。

The rich man let wangdu use his son’s name "rancho" ,to study in college of engineering, The rich man provided him with tuition and living expenses, the condition is to replace Lanche, and helped him to get a diploma, then he had to disappear. The school is a very famous one in India, the only criterion for students is score, poor score means poor future.
