to enable students to read , write and use following words and phrases correctly:

Classical music. Rock’n’Roll .Orchestra. Rap. Folk music .Jazz .Country music .Choral

to enable students master the main idea of each paragraph and the structure of the whole text

make students can guess the meaning of strange words through the situation

help students have a better understanding about different kinds of music and learn more about The Monkees
