Unit 9 Shapes



单元简析: 本单元的核心教学内容是“辨认形状”。教学中,教师要根据小学生的思维特点,尽量将形状与日常生活用品结合起来。本单元主要学习句型:Show us how to… What shape is the…? It’s a/ an… 在本单元教学中,教师可运用“任务型”的教学途径,布置学生制作一些贺卡,以培养学生的创新精神和运用所学英语进行日常交流的能力。



单元教学要求:

1.能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词:a shape, teach, fly, us, the sun, the moon, a star, a year, know, paper.

2.能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型:What shape is the…? It’s a/ an…

Show us how to…

3.能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语:Come to the blackboard and show us how to do it. Let’s buy a … for… But I don’t know how to… Happy New Year! Don’t forget to… Draw… first.

4.了解元音字母o在单词中的读音。

5.能诵读歌谣 Twinkle, twinkle, little star。



单元教学重难点:

1.能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词:a shape, teach, fly, us, the sun, the moon, a star, a year, know, paper.

2.能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型:What shape is the…? It’s a/ an…

Show us how to…

3.能听得懂、会说、会读日常交际用语:Come to the blackboard and show us how to do it. Let’s buy a … for… But I don’t know how to… Happy New Year! Don’t forget to… Draw… first.



单元教学安排:

本单元共安排6课时.

Part A Read and say 1课时

Part B Look, read and learn 1课时

Part C Ask and answer 1课时

Part D Look and say , Part G Listen and repeat 1课时

Part E Read and act, Part F Draw and say, Part H Say a rhyme 1课时

复习及完成本单元补充习题。 1课时



Unit9 Shapes(第一课时)





一、教学内容: Part A Read and say





二、教学目标: 1.能听说读写单词 a star, a heart. Art , teach , fly ,

2.能熟练运用What shape is the …?It’s a/an …

3.能听懂会说,会读,会写句子:Show us how to …

4、能熟练地询问物体的形状。





三、教学重点:

能熟练运用What shape is the …?It’s a/an …





四、教学难点:

能根据课文内容进行对话表演,并适当地扩展对话。





五、教学准备:

1.事先板书好课题Unit 9 Shapes

2.教学图片和卡片。

3.磁带和录音机。





六、教学过程: Step1 Warm-up

1 Free talk

What can you do? Can you …?

What are you doing?

2. Sing a song:Twinkle, Twinkle, little star.

3. 根据歌曲的画面回答问题:

T: What can you see in the sky?

Ss: I can see many stars.

T: What shape is it? What else can you see?

Ss: I can see the moon.

T: What shape is the moon? What else is in the sky?

Show the new words: star, shape, the moon , circle. the sun

Sentences: What shape is it? It is a star./a circle.

4. Show a rectangle thing: Look at this, what shape is it?

Show the new words: rectangle

5. Play a game: Guess. 同学互相送礼物,猜猜礼物是什么形状。

Step 2 Read and say

1. Listen to the text of Part A about Picture 1.

Answer the questions:

What can you see on the blackboard?

What shape is the kite?

What shape is the bag?

在提问同时请学生到黑板上把听到的图形画出来.

T: Come to the blackboard and show us how to draw it?当一名学生上黑板前画时就请全班学生说: Come to the blackboard and show us how to do it?

2. Listen to the text of Part A about Picture 2.

(1)Can you see a kite on the blackboard?

(2)Five circles can draw a kite? Who can draw?

(3)What shape is the sun/ the moon?

听录音,回答问题,朗读对话。

Step 3 Act out.

1.让学生听录音,模仿跟读。

2.学生小组分角色朗读。

3.在熟读的基础上让学生在小组内表演对话

Step 4 Practice and consolidation.

1. Listen to the tape recorder, do some exercises.

2. Play a game.

3. Make a card with shapes.

4. Show the card to the classmates, talk about the card.

出示图片:根据课文内容复述对话。

Step5 Doing exercise

1. What shape is this? (图形:窗户)

It’s a ____rectangle________.

2. What shapes can you see in the picture?

I can see _triangle____ __rectangle____ ___square___.

3. How many squares are there in the picture?

There are __three____.

4. Is this a picture of a man?

Yes___ , it is.

5. What shape is the head in the picture?

It is __a circle____.

Step6 Homework

1. Copy the new phrases and words.

2. Read, recite and act the dialogue.

Step 1 Warm up

Let the students talk about they learned last lesson.

Practice in pairs.

Step 2 Revision

师出示图,复习句型:I have … / We have …

What does he/she have? He/She has …

What do they have …? They have …

Step 3 Presentation

1.复习单词,在复习过程导入新内容。

What shape is the …?

Learn the word : shape

然后出示所有的图形: These are six shapes.

2.逐个出示实物,再谈论到他们的形状。

学习所有的三会和XX单词,并拼读XX单词。

T: What shape is the sun?(出示太阳的图片)

Ss: It’s a circle.

学习单词sun, 学生拼读

T: What shape is the moon?(出示月亮的图片)

Ss: It’s a circle.

学习单词moon, 学生拼读

同桌两人练习句型:What shape is the …? It’s a/an …

3.画一幅图,但是只能用刚刚教过的图形

学生上台介绍自己的作品,用句型This is a…. There are…….

Step 4 Practice and consolidation.

1.竞赛活动:学生看图,分组认读、拼读单词,看哪组说得又快又准确。

2.小组活动:用所学单词造句,看哪组扩展的多。

3.小组推选代表汇报活动情况。

Step6 Homework

1. Copy and recite the new words.

几组学生表演会话。利用图片和情景反复练习句型:

I’ll give you three minutes to work in pairs.

1.出示本单元单词图片,让学生看图造句。

2.师生问答,运用句型: What shape is the …? It’s a/an …

3.出示第一幅图,教师与一个学生示范,其他学生在小组内模仿、练说。

4.指导学生看图,说英语句子。

学生两人一个小组,看图对图片进行小组操练。

小组汇报表演。

四、教学难点 能初步了解字母O在单词中的读音。





五、教学准备

1 准备D部分, G部分出现的图片。

2 在黑板上预先写好课题Unit 9 Shapes





六、教学过程: Step 1 Warm up

1 Say a rhyme: Twinkle, Twinkle, little star.

2 Free talk

学生模仿课文自由编对话表演。

Make a dialogue.

Step 2 Revision

T: Can you show us how to make a triangle?

Teach Let me show you how to do it.

T: Can you show us how to make a square or a diamond using four matches?

Can you show us how to make a star or two rectangles or two triangles using five matches?

练习句型Let me show you how to do it. Step 3 Part D Look and say

1. Make phrases: Show us/me/him/her/them/you.

2.Make sentences: Show …how to …

3. T: Can you show me how to make a mask?

T:加入单词first, and then, don’t forget ……

4. T: Show us how to make a clock.

Step 4 Part G Listen and repeat

T板书:go old open sofa

T: Who can read them? ?S1: go old open sofa

T: Can you tell me how to pronounce “o”.

T: Good. Can you give me other words.

S: over, don’t, telephone…

Read the sentence.

Step5 Homework

3 学生表演对话。

4 听写本课XX单词。

Step3 Presentation and practice (完成补充习题上的练习)

Listen and number.先让学生看图,分辨出图中各人在做什么,然后根据录音中句子顺序给每幅图编号。

Look and complete.让学生先看图,了解图意,然后根据录音内容填写所缺单词,使句子意思完整并符合图意。

Look ,read and complete.本题通过对话来巩固本课已学的用英语表达图形的名称,学生可以一边看图一边阅读对话,填写所缺单词。

Look, find and write.本题趣味性较强,通过练习培养识别能力,让学生认真数清各图形再用英语填答案。

Look, read and complete.让学生看图,了解图意,然后填写所缺单词,使句子意思完整并符合图意。
